Sometimes I am at a plant where it is extremely difficult to get a good shirt from a unit with which I am very familiar. When or if I determine that the cause is poor installation, I am in a very awkward place. I am not an excuse man. I am a problem solver. I am not going to solve any problems if the solution that I propose is to replace piping that is hanging up in the rafters. To some, this may even sound like an exercise in finger-pointing. That is, a way of saying “it’s not your employee, it’s not me, it’s not your equipment (all of which I can fix), it’s the installation! (which I can’t fix, but I sound like I know what I’m talking about). Lame. |

I have taught my Tailwind System at the DLI School of Drycleaning a couple of times. It’s kind of exciting to know that the DLI school is a Tailwind plant now! But that isn’t what I want to talk about today. I want to talk about the plant itself. I don’t know that anyone has really ever written about it. This is a really cool place! |

A few months ago, I wrote about 99 cent shirts. I have more thoughts on that subject so, at the risk of being repetitive, let’s call this “part 2”. There are still plants out there offering 99 cent shirts. That’s what I’m told anyway. I can’t say that I’ve seen any first hand in a long time, but I believe what I hear regarding this. |
