It is amazing where in the world you can end up if you have the right airline ticket! Global air travel is truly a miracle that is taken for granted on a daily basis. In less than a day, you can be anywhere else on the planet earth.

In 1492, Christopher Columbus headed west (sort of) to find India. He and his entourage landed on a small island that is part of the present-day Bahamas. He called the people that he met there “Indians” because, well, he thought he was in Asia…India. Well, I can say with a great deal of authority,  that India and the Bahamas are quite dissimilar!
