What's the difference between Tailwind and any other lot system? No comparison, actually, but if you insist ... A traditional lot system works perfectly on paper. Keep a lot together, press it together, all the orders will come together at the same time. They will be assembled, bagged and done, just like that. Does it work? Hardly. Traditional lot systems have no provisions for:
- Maintaining lot integrity when lots are split into lights, darks, wetcleans, etc.
- Maintaining lot integrity when items are separated from the lot for pre-spotting.
- Maintaining lot integrity when garments go into different drycleaning machines, perhaps with different run times.
- Maintaining lot integrity when garments are separated from their lots because they didn't fit in the machine.
- Assuring that you will always run your machines at full capacity, regardless of lot size.
- Indicating, without the use of the invoices or counting pieces, when a lot is complete and to send to the pressers.
- Dealing with pieces that are separated from their lot for post-spotting.
- Maintaining lot integrity when the pressers see a stain on a garment and need to send it back.
- Maintaining lot integrity when the inspector or the assembler sees a stain on a garment and need to send it back.
- Maintaining lot integrity at the spotting board and preventing assembly errors.
Tailwind has ALL of these features automatically built in. These are all part of the Tailwind System! (no kidding) No other system even comes close.
